I. Product Overview
Polypropylene anti-floating fiber dispersant masterbatch CYD-MP05 is a masterbatch of branched anti-floating fiber dispersant based on polypropylene. It does not cause dustification, is easy to be mixed evenly, and can be used during injection molding. It mainly addresses the problems of fiber dispersion, fiber exposure, and floating in the PP fiber reinforcement system. It is suitable for PP fiber reinforced systems, and this model is particularly applicable to copolymer PP systems.

Figure 1: On the left is the PP + 30% GF (long fibers) blank sample, with an injection molding temperature of 235℃. It can be seen that the cross-section is whitish, showing obvious fiber strands. The fusion between the glass fibers and the PP resin is very poor, and the floating fibers on the sample surface are relatively obvious. On the right is the sample with the anti-floating fiber masterbatch CYD-MP05 added. At the cross-section, the fusion between the glass fibers and the resin is good, and the glass fibers are evenly dispersed in the resin, without obvious exposed fiber strands. At the same time, the floating fibers on the sample surface have been greatly improved, increasing the surface smoothness of the product.

Figure 2 shows the comparison of the improvement of surface floating fibers after adding 5% CYD-MP05 (long fibers, injection at 235℃)

V. Application Scope
Suitable for long-fiber and short-fiber reinforced PP systems, especially for the copolymer PP systems, the performance is even better.
It is recommended to carry out granulation and injection at a temperature range of 225℃ to 245℃, which will result in better surface effects.
For CYD-MP05, the system does not require the addition of a compatibilizer.
VI. Recommended Addition Amount
Mix evenly with PP particles; the addition amount can be adjusted according to the actual situation. It is recommended to add 4-6%.
VII. Storage
Store at room temperature. Please avoid moisture, light exposure and prolonged exposure to air.
